The DUMMY STEP MOVES work standing still or at a dead run.  Start Dribbling the ball forwards then abruptly lunge (take a long deep step) with your left foot, to the left of the ball.  Plant your left foot hard and take the ball back to the right with the outside of the right foot, on the diagonal.  Accelerate . . . . FAKE and FLY!   . . . . Backbone of other Soccer Feints, . . . the Scissors, the Rivolino, the Mathews, and the fake kicks are all 'lunge-type' moves.

Simply put, . . . Fake with inside of foot nudging ball by dipping shoulder, then take ball in the opposite direction with the outside of same foot... Explode!!

A.K.A. the INSIDE OUT MOVE or 'TOUCH & GO', Touch the ball 6 inches with the inside of one foot (Little touch!).  Hop away 24 inches sideways from the ball with the other foot (Big hop!). Turn your chest and shoulders a little away from the ball before to enhance the fake before playing the ball away at a 45 degree angle in the opposite direction to the fake with the outside of the original ball playing foot.  Explode for 5 yards to finish.

Dribble forward and then with the inside of your right foot, touch the ball slightly to the left, as if you were going to cut that way.  Instead, push off the left foot and take the ball back to the right with the outside off the right foot.  It is essential to add a "little hop" to the left (with both feet) when beginning this move while you are lightly touching the ball to the inside.

Sir Stanley Matthews (1 February 1915 – 23 February 2000) was an English footballer.  Often regarded as one of the greatest players of the British game, he is the only player to have been knighted while still playing football, as well as being the first winner of both the European Footballer of the Year and the Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year awards.  Matthews' nicknames included "The Wizard of the Dribble" and "The Magician".

Matthews kept fit enough to play at the top level until he was 50 years old.  Matthews was also the oldest player ever to play in England's top football division (50 years and 5 days) and the oldest player ever to represent the country (42 years and 104 days).  He was also an inaugural inductee to the English Football Hall of Fame in 2002 to honour his contribution to the English game.

Give your child a 'leg up' by sharing the videos and info we've posted online before and during the season....

"We can't emphasize enough the important role that parents play in participating in their Childs development before entering into organized play.  It's like teaching your child to learn the alphabet, words, vocabulary and simple sentence structure before expecting them to read a book on their own.  BALL MASTERY plays a crucial role in laying down the FOUNDATION upon which the entire game is taught and learnt.”
